Announced this morning Ontario’s unemployment rate has risen to 6.6% from the record low of 5.8% in early 2008.
According to Statistics Canada, December's employment loss was the result of a large decline in full-time work (-71,000), partly offset by an increase in part-time employment (+36,000).
