Senior Sales Manager GTA- must be fluent in Chinese, Cantonese or Mandarin language

Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Sales Manager fluent in Chinese, Cantonese or Mandarin language for their GTA based food service company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

DEVELOPMENT ROLE

-Proposes and implements all merchandising and promotional programs, including preparation and copywriting in appropriate customer language.

- Develop broker partners in the GTA to increase their knowledge of the company’s products.

- Develop and promote company’s products to meet the "Toronto GTA Strategy" to ensure entry into the GTA mass market

- Develop new channels in the GTA market place.

- Make recommendations to improve sales function on a regular basis and maintain and improve the company image and brand

PROSPECTING

- Build internal and external business relationships for the company

SALES TARGETS

- Develop and implement cost effective sales programs for the GTA.

- Achieves sales target on monthly and annual basis.

- Acts as front-line sales representative on all sales-related matters in the GTA.

- Maintains accurate sales records and reports; prepares written summaries for major accounts and promotional activities.

- Manage the Toronto strategic sales plan in conjunction with marketing

- Manage with the sales team trade related shows in Ontario and Quebec



REPORTING



- Collects related marketing data and sales information for management.



PROFESSIONALISM



- Maintains good customer relationships with all accounts and relates with customers in a diplomatic and professional manner.



CUSTOMER SERVICE



- Works with Customer Service Department and Shipping Department to enhance service to accounts.



- Attends and participates in regular business and customer meetings, as assigned by management or arranged as part of the job.



- Responds to customer’s inquiries during and after regular work hours, holidays and weekends, when required. Assists customers in emergency situations as needed. Occasional irregular working hours may be required.



WORKING CONDITIONS

- Sales conditions using a company vehicle and working from a company office as needed.



- Available to work evening and weekends as required to the business.



- Travel is required across Canada.



- A dress code standard consistent with Sales, no jeans, no logo jackets, business casual.



JOB SPECIFICATIONS



- Skilled at working with people in the following functions; operations, marketing, and production.

- Find and open new accounts and opportunities in Ontario and Quebec



The ideal candidate will possess:



8 – 10 years’ experience in packaged goods sales, at a key account and sales management level, experienced with building a business through a dedicated sales force and distribution network. Experience in Asian and English culture and language

-College or university education in business or marketing



OTHER REQUIREMENTS



-Analytical skills; experience in handling people, accounts, and budgets

-Decision maker, handle both day to day activity and longer range planning

-Proficient in Microsoft applications, Word and Excel

-Self starter, can work independently and in a team environment

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-Strong Chinese, Cantonese or Mandarin language skills are required / including other language i.e. French

-Should hold a valid drivers license, passport and be able to drive in any city can/usa
